Finding an inexpensive hotel in New York is far more easy than you probably think it is. All you need to do is use the New York Hotel Deals website since it checks for the lowest prices at every hotel website at the same time. This approach saves you a ton of time and money.

The first thing you should do when you get to the New York Hotel Deals website is to click on the calandar and put in your check-in and check-out dates (along with how many guests there will be and how many rooms you are reserving) you should then click on the “Go” button which will bring up the hotel search results page.

If you need a discount hotel then you will want to click on “Price” so that the lowest priced hotels come to the top of the list. You will also need to go to the “Property Type” tab on the lower left side so that you can uncheck “hostels” because otherwise the very low priced hostels will take up all of the slots.

If you are curious and you don’t really know what a hostel is then allow me to tell you about them. With a hostel you are reserving a bed instead of a room. If you stay at a hostel you will be in the same room as a bunch of other people.

The first thing you should do is to arrange the results by price (and uncheck “hostels” like described above) and then you should use the “Distance Location” tab on the left. Set it to only 1 mile and then find the landmark you want to be near in the scrolldown menu. Then the least expensive hotels within one mile of the landmark will show up in the search results.

You can use the same method that you use for finding a hotel near a landmark for finding cheap New York hotels in any particular Manhattan neighborhood. Just select a neighborhood (like the Lower East Side) in place of a landmark from the menu.
